I have read with interest the confusion about the birth place of Thomas Allen Davies, i.e. Jonhithel, Wales. My grandmother, Sarah Luvina Davies, sent me that place name as the birth place of her father Thomas Allen Davies in a letter written in about 1963. She passed away the next year. I was very new to family history research and not aware of the problem the name causes with Welsh place names. It is still a mystery to me, but her letter still reads Jonhtitel, Wales. She probably wrote it phonically as she understood it. Any help with its' correct spelling would be appreciated. yours, Thomas Allen Tibbitts
