The earliest ancestors we know of are Thomas W. and Susannah DAVIES. Thomas was born 12-25-1772 in Georgia or North Carolina. He and Susannah ? married in 1793 . Thomas died in Walton County, GA on 8-2-1839 Their children were William H. DAVIES (1797-1829 and married Nancy Bagget in Walton county); Margaret Sidney Milissa DAVIES; Elizabeth DAVIES, Charles Cornelius DAVIES (born 1809); John M. F. Davies (born 1-26-1815) and Alfred Barker DAVIES. Alfred Barker DAVIES, birth date unknown. He married Alice Elizabeth ROSSER in Walton, GA on December 3, 1823. They had 6 children: James R. (1/10/1826 to 2/12/1905); Charlotte Elizabeth (10/6/1828 to 12/30/1894 and married William LESTER); Susan E. (6/20/1833 to 10/25/1890); Bartilda Jane (11/22/1836 to 2/1/1898 and married Farmer STOVALL); Margaret N. (10/18/1838 to 1909); and Frances Caroline ( 4/16/1841 to 10/1923 and married James Isaac BENTLEY). Alfred Barker DAVIES died sometime between 1841 and 1847 and Alice remarried to William COLE. They had two children, Richard M. and William Isaac.
