Re: William Davies, 1824 England-Nova Scotia

I am working on a line with two William Davis men.
With knowledge of the spelling often Americanized from
Davies, I thought I write. I hope this message gets to
you and you are continuing to research.

Nova Scotia Stellerton, Pictou County 1879 Maud Davis was
born to William H Davis, sr-his dad was a James Davis born
abt 1844 and his mother, Margaret Combs (unknown birthdate).
They, William sr and jr farmed and mined for coal.

From Nova Scotia the family traveled to a suburb of St Louis
MO called West Bellview in St Clair county, USA. Next from
1880 to 1881 there was a move to Lafayette Co, MO Lexington.

Stories of tragedy and children split up later to be re-
united are so vague and unsubstantiated. Hope I spelled
that right. I notice James, William, Margaret and the
Pictou county and wondered if possibly "Combs" showed up
or "Maud" or coalmining or movement to Missouri?

Sincerely,
Sharon
