Subject: Davies memorial at Ascension Episcopal Church, Amherst, VA The doors of the church were donated by my father (Landon Brooke Davies) and many of his cousins in memory of my grandfather (John Franklin Davies) and his three siblings, who were the four children of John Franklin Davies and Caroline Wattles Smith. For more info, see our "Old Nick" Davies Family web site, including the following pages: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/davies/tree/sub_1a.htm http://mywebpages.comcast.net/davies/reunion/rr.htm http://mywebpages.comcast.net/davies/archives/JFD_letters.html I knew my grandfather's brother Henry Landon Davies when I was young. He lived in an apartment at 11 E. Chase St. in Baltimore and visited us occasionally. His wife was bedridden, and they had no children. He was named for his grandfather, Dr. Henry Landon Davies, who lived in Amherst and was instrumental in founding the church in 1848. Notify Administrator about this message?
