The earliest Davies ancestor we know of is Thomas W. Davies (12/25/1772 to 3/26/1858) and his wife Susannah (1/20/1772 to 8/2/1839) of Walton county, GA. They had six children we know of: Margaret Sidney Milissa, Elizabeth B., charles Cornelius, William H., Alfred Barker and John M. F. We are descended through their son, Alfred Barker Davies (1802-1842/1847) and his wife Alice Elizabeth Rosser Davies. If you believe we have a connection, I would be delighted to share information.
