Am trying to track descendants of Stephen Trusdell, b. 15 Apr 1809 Sussex Co. NJ; d. 20 Dec 1882 in Morrow Co., OH. His 6th child was SARETHA JANE TRUSDELL (b. 18 May 1839 in Newton, NJ; prob. d. 9 August 1914, in Columbus, Franklin Co., OH). Old family diaries seem to indicate that she may have married a Mr. MAXFIELD, lived in Franklin Co., OH, and died about 9 Aug. 1914. If this is the same Saretha Jane, her funeral was held at the home of a daughter, Hattie Davies. It is believed she went by the name of Jane, and that she had at least two daughters: Grace who married a Mr. Bogardus; and Hattie (or Harriet), who married a Mr. DAVIE or DAVIES, probably in Franklin Co., OH. It is believed that both Grace and Hattie resided in Columbus, Ohio. The same old family diary indicates that "May 1, 1912: Wed. Grace Maxfield Bogardus, 1st cousin of Mother's, died this a.m. of pneumonia. Only sick six days." It is believed that "Cousin Hattie" had a son, Oliver Maxfield DAVIE or DAVIES, who would have been born about 14 June 1885. Any assistance in tracking this lost link would be greatly appreciated.
