Dear Vernia,

I think you may have just given me a lead on my great-great grandfather, Isaac Davies. I have no idea about Isaac's parentage, only that Isaac was born in 1865 in Wales, married Rosina Benjamin in 1885 and left shortly thereafter for America, and they settled in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio -- just as your Abraham Davies did. I am hoping that Abraham and Isaac could be brothers? Do you have any additional info on your Abraham's brother Isaac? I think it's quite amazing that both of them settled in Cleveland. Also, you mention that Abraham's father, John, was of Abergavenny, Wales -- which is where Isaac's wife, Rose, was born. Isaac and Rose had nine children, the first of whom was born on the ship as they crossed to America in 1885. Please contact me at amyelivan@msn.com if you think we might have a conection.

Amy E. Van Hyning
