My wife's grandfather was Talliesin J Davies born June 1882 in Wilkes-Barre. He married Aurora English on Apr 3, 1907 in W-B. She was born on Oct 16, 1880 in Schuykill, Pa.
She was the daughter of William English and Sara Mason.
William Mason was born in 1835 in Pa and died Jul 1903. Sara Mason was born abt 1842 enroute to America on the Atlantic Ocean. She died abt 1884.
Talliesin J Davies died on May 20, 1955 in W-B and Aurora died on Sep 11, 1975 in W-B.
Talliesin and Aurora youngest daughter, Alice, provide us with the following information:
Talliesin's father was John T Davies born in Wales. His mother was Elizabeth Davies also born in Wales. Their children were David John, Martha, Jamina, Aneurin, Elizabeth, Thomas, and Talliesin.
I have been unable to find any other information about the family. You e-mail might help me
finally find them.
I would appreciate any information you could add about William Shonk & Elizabeth, Samuel Lane & Jamina, and David W Phillips & Martha Jane.
I have information about Talliesin and Aurora's descendants if you want it.
vbyron@ulster.net lists some information about Samuel Lane & Jemina. She has Jemina's parents as John P Davies born abt 1849 in Wales and Elizabeth Jones born about 1850 in Wales. Jemina was born Aug 24, 1886 in Plymouth, Luzerne Co., Pa. Samuel Lane was still single in 1910.
