Dear Dr. Mike:
It's been some time since anyone posted to this thread but I'm hoping you'll see this message. I am very interested in finding someone to do some research for me on my Davies family in Wales & UK. My Grandfather was William Wood Davies, b. Jan 16 1876 in England. He immigrated to Brooklyn, NY USA sometime after that. He had two brothers John (b 1874) and George H. (b. 1872)(who were both born in Denton England.
My GGrandfather was James Wood Davies, b. 1853 in Denton England. He married Jane E. Hall of Dublin, Ireland. They were both Hatters. My GGfather was intentured to John Hall and Jane Riley. I have the indenture papers and the info on them may be useful. I will send a transcript if you think it would help.
My GGGrandfather was James Wood Davies Sr. and married Ann Wood. He died in 1858 , place unknown but Anne died in 1870 in Denton. I think my GGGGrandfather was James Wood Davies also, he was married to Martha Evans.... some of this may be wrong as I'm a bit confused with all these James's.
Anyway, I would be eternally grateful if you could provide any information OR direct me to a researcher who might provide assistance for hire.
