Dear Suzanne,
I am researching my father's history.I have found out that my father's mother was an Alice Davies.She was born in 1881(about) and married a Thomas Wilkes in 1907.They lived in Princip St Birmingham.My father had a number of sisters that I have just found out about-Alice
Wilkes 1901,Agnes born 28/12/08,Violet born 1/9/10,Frances
born 1914,Gladys born 1918 and Sarah born 2/8/11.
Alice was 26 when she married a Thomas Wilkes 56.This was his second marriage.Alices father was a William Davies a brick layer at the time.I have not been able to find out who William was married to.
My father changed his name back to Davies in 1947.His name was originally a Leonard Wilkes.
