Looking to correspond with anyone having knowledge of the family of John R. Davies, born 3 Mar 1805, Whitland, Wales. He married Mary Miles in about 1832. She was the daughter of John Miles and Leah Philips. John R. Davies left a journal where he names his parents David Davies and Ann Thomas, both of Pembrokeshire. Ann's parents are David Thomas and Mary____. John R. Davies also names four generations on his paternal side. His father David Davies (Pembroke), GFather James Davies, GGFather David Nicholas Davies, and GGGFather Nicholas David Rithanch? Davies. No wives of the grandparents are identified. The name Rithanch is only used once, might be Ruthanch. The R. in John R. Davies name was Americanized to Rutherich, is probably a derivation of Ruthanch or Rithanch. Thank you, Joe Neilson
