Dear Dr. Decker:

I am a descendant of MAGDALEN DAVIES b. 26 Feb 1809 in Aberdare. She m. JOHN G. JONES on 24 May 1828 in Ystradgynlais. He was b. 12 Feb 1806 in Merthyr Tydfil. Two children were b. in Breconshire before the family emigrated to Pennsylvania, USA in 1832. I have speculated that she may be the dau of LEWIS DAVIES & MAGDALEN WILLIAMS. The name LEWIS was used as a middle name for a child born in the USA and the MAGDALEN connection may be more than coincidental. I really appreciate any help you might give me.

Best Wishes, Howard Jones
