I have a Levi Davidson, b. about 1800 (unknown) d. 1853-54 in Perry Co., TN. I find him in Perry County, TN Land Survey records, both as land owner and also as part of survey crew as chain carrier, etc.
His first wife (unknown) died around 1837-38 and was the mother of my ancester, Cyrus Davidson (b. Aug 25, 1837), Rachel, and Abraham.
He had 9 more children by his second wife, Sarah Lamberson. After Levi's death, Sarah and children migrated to Barry Co. Mo. along with other Davidson families. They were there Jan. 3, 1854 when she petitioned to have Alvonee Davidson of Greene Co., Mo appointed as guardian of her minor children in the estate of Levi.
I believe that Levi was somehow connected to Josiah Davidson who was a Baptist Preacher in Greene Co., MO and there in 1840, 1850 and 1860 census. In the 1880 census, Josiah is in Douglass Co., Mo. Let me know if you see a connection.
