I'm trying to find information on John J Davidson's parents, grandparents etc.
I've manage to track down quite a bit about everyone except this line in my family.
John Davidson was born somewhere in Arkanas in Feb 14th, 1869 and died in Wapanucka, OK on Sept 28th, 1958. He moved to Indian Territory at some point between 1869-1890. I'm not sure if he lived anywhere between there. He married Annie Lee who was the daughter of Thomas Lee and Nancy Hearrell. Annie was born in Texas. Nancy is the daughter of Samuel Hearrell and Dora Ramsey. Samuel is the son of Eli Hearrell and Sara Dorell.
John and Annie were in the Choctaw Nation in a 1900 census. Coal County in 1910 and 1920 census and finally settled in Wapanucka, Johnston Co, OK by the 1930 census.
Over on Rootsweb I have found a few listings for John J Davidson born Feb 14th, 1869 but each say different things. One claims his father was Thomas and another says Jared. Some have him list his mother as Elizabeth Price.
I found a census though of 1870 that lists a Jared Davidson with an Elizabeth Pruett. There's a Jared Davidson listed who is 1 years old as well. Could this be him? Does anyone know a way this could be confirmed? The Jared Davidson listed as the father is said to be born in TN while according to the 1900-1930 censuses John's in his father was born in MS though.
If anyone has any information I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
