Bill,
Thank you for responding to my post. You have been most helpful and yes, my uncle is kit number 67625.
My mother lost her password and is supposed to email for a new one. I don't know if my uncle's test was included in a universal website but I will check and see. If not, what steps should be taken to include these tests in this website. My father had his DNA done through ancestry a year or so ago but it was a twelve marker test. There were two matches but as I understand it, twelve marker tests are not that reliable.

I checked the website you provided for James Davidson/Mary Bean but I currently cannot see a connection. I was in error when I listed that Joseph was born in Orange Co., NC. I'm going to have to sift through his pension record again to see if it listed his place of birth. According to his widow, Sarah Peavy Davidson they were married in 1781 in Orange County. So I will keep looking to see if I can find some connection to the families that migrated to Orange County, NC.

I have very little information on Joseph Davidson other than what can be gleaned from his pension record and the website located at: http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~genea/Dzjosephpeavy.html. Mary Bonsal referred me to this site and it was most helpful.

Joseph served during the Revolutionary War under a Capt. Goodman and Col. Thomas Polk and fought at the Battles of Monmouth, Brandywine, and Germantown. At one time he was in Montgomery County, AL and in 1818 was in Jasper Co., GA. The pension record gives the names of their 10 surviving children.

His pension record (63 pages) can be accessed through Footnote.com. Currently, I am trying to locate other Davidsons that may have served during the Revolution under Col. Thomas Polk or in the same regiment.

The only census record for Joseph is in 1830 in Pike County, GA. There were no other Davidsons in Pike County at that time. Washington Davidson married Mariah Mize in Pike County on the 27th of December 1826. The only connection with William Frederick Davidson, is that my ancestor, Tillero Polk Davidson resided in Cleburne County, Alabama in 1900 at the same time as one of Frederick Davidson's descendants. It is probably coincidental.

Thank you again for your help. I really appreciate it.

Robyn Hamilton
