I am also a Davidson descendant. My ancestor was Josiah Davidson born June 23, 1827 (?)and died Jan 30, 1888 in Barry county, Mo. I think he was a 2nd cousin of William John Davidson and both shared a grandfather named George Davison born abt 1769 in Prince Edward County, Virginia. George's wife was Elizabeth Lucretia (Creasey) McDearman and she died in 1850 in Polk County, MO. One of George's sons was Joshua born July 11, 1793 and another son unknown name (father of William) was born about 1801 (the same year as Sarah from NC). I believe your unknown was in Polk County MO in 1837. There are probably tax records. His brother was Joshua. I found Joshua, Josiah, and William all in Neosho, Newton county, MO in 1850.
