Shirley A. Groves
Shirley Augusta Groves, 67, resident of Bartlesville, died at 2:53 AM on Sunday at the Jane Phillips Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday in the East Bartlesville Christian Church with Minister David Mabon officiating. Interment will be in the Dewey Cemetery. Funeral services and interment will be under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Casket escorts will include James Blevins, Aaron Archambo, Mark Cassel, Steve Anderson, Wade Kester and Dennis Harrison.
Shirley was born November 29, 1938 at Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Her parents were Fern and Elmer May. She was raised and received her education in Bartlesville attending schools here. Shirley was employed with the Bartlesville School System in the custodial department for over 20 years. She was a member of the East Bartlesville Christian Church.
Survivors include; two sons Don Nichols of Bartlesville and Bryan Nichols of Prattville, Alabama; one brother Don Sams of Bartlesville; two sisters Velma Allen of Bartlesville and Patty Stamper of Bixby, Oklahoma; three grandchildren Brooke, Lindsey and Jessie Nichols and one great-granddaughter Zoey Nichols. She was preceded in death by her parents.
