I am researching ancestors of Elizabeth Dauphin b 19 Jan 1687 in Beauport,Quebec (m Rene Rodrigue 1703). I have her parents as Rene Dauphin chr 14 Oct 1666, Beauport, and Marie-Suzanne Gignard. The following I have not verified; Rene's parents were Etienne Dauphin who married a Les Filles Du Roi girl, Marie Morin, 15 Nov 1665 in Quebec(this marriage is verified-that Rene was their child is not. It came from another researcher with no source). IGI (with no source quoted) has Etienne's parents as Etienne Dauphin and Julienne Richard-no dates or places or sources. Does any one have anything on this family? I would appreciate the help or some good pointers on where to look for records this old when researching Quebec families.
