I am descended from Jacob Daum, b. 1802 in Duchroth, Bavaria, son of Johannes Daum and Maria Margaretha Feikart. Jacob and his younger brother Carl Philipp (b. 1813 in Duchroth, d. 1884 in Orange, NJ) emigrated to the U.S. Jacob settled in the Albany, NY area while Carl Philipp settled in Orange, NJ. I would be interested in finding out more about Carl Philipp's family. He married Eva Staub in 1835, their children were Eva, Catherine, Mary, Angeline, Fred, Friederika, Jacob, Helen, Louisa, and Charles (the last two were born in the US).
