I am looking for information on a boy adopted from an orphanage in Omaha, Nebraska, sometime after 1891. His birth name was Lawrence Henry Daum. He was believed to be born between 1886 and 1891. He was brought to the orphanage after the death of his mother, Theresa Ivers Daum, in 1891. His father, Louis Daum, was a professional soldier and couldn't raise 4 small children. He sent his youngest child, an infant, to be raised by his sister, Maggie. Lawrence Henry and his sister, Francis Irene were both adopted. One sister, Margaretha Maria Daum, remained in the orphanage until the death of her father. At that time, she went to live with her uncle, August Daum and his wife, Minnie, in Dallas, Texas. I would appreciate any information on Lawrence or his descendents. Thanks!!
