I now know that my grandmother Cecilia Daughtry McGovern died on 12/31/1929 in Drumkeeran. She became ill on Christmas Eve and the doctor and priest were called. The formal names of her five children were Bridget Theresa, born 1917 called Tessie, Catherine Florence (Sissy) died in 1934, Terence Joseph (Sonny) died in 1991, Mary Francis, died on 11/3/1937 and she past in hospital instead of at home. Finally, Rita, no middle name who is my Mom, believes she was born in 1921, as relayed by a neighbor when she was applying for her visa, alive and well in NY.
I know that Cecilia was one of 14 children and she had a brother Tom, Uncle Tom, who remained on the homestead and also had 14 children. This "uncle Tom" was visted by "Tessie" prior to departure to America. I also know that family members visted Terence(Sonny) McGovern in Drumkeeran Leitrim up until his death in 1991, but do not know their names.
