I'm trying to help a friend with this one.I don't know if he connects with my Daughtry family tree or not.So far I haven't found much of anything on him and his wife Mary and their six [6] children.On the 1860 census for Rhea county,Tn William, b:1827 Tn. and Mary,b:1828 Tn.,possibly Mary Graham,have two [2] children;Mary age 4 and Eliza J. age 1,both children born in Tn.By 1870 William and Mary are in Putnam county,Tn..They have five [5] children with them but no child named Mary,so I guess she died before 1870.The other children's names are Josephine age 9;Brownlow age 7;Ann age 6;Clementine age 3 and Manervia C age 1.On the 1880 census it shows that Manervia's middle name is Caroline.William A.Daughtry's mothers name is/was Ann Johnson according to one researcher,not my friend,and his father was William Daughtry,also according to the other researcher.
The daughter named Ann/Anna married William Thomas Aarons and they had nine [9]children.His parents seem to be Robert Aarons, b:1841 Tn.d:21 Mar 1890,Putnam Co.,Tn.and Permelia Kezzie Tallant b:1842 Tn.;d:8 Jul 1906,Putnam Co.,Tn.They had seven [7] children including William T.Aarons.
The problem I'm finding is that both people have my great great grandfathers children listed as this William A.Daughtry's children,which they are not.
If anyone has any info on this person and his family I would appreciate the help on it.Thanks in advance.
