My gggrandmother was Mariah Allen from Northampton Co. NC. b.1822/23. She married a John Daugherty,15 April 1840. Northampton Co. NC. Their son,Henry Howell Eugene Dougherty, b,1 March 1842,St.Louis,MO. John D. died in 1842/43, Mariah married my gggrandfather in St.Louis,1849. I have been looking for the Allen family in Northampton,we know nothing about them. Hope this info can help . K.
