Phoebe THOMPSON m. 2 Feb 1876 in Johnston Co. NC to John R. DAUGHTRY. They were enum. 1880 with two daus. who d.y. (Laura and Alice). John d. aft. 1890, and the widow Feby [sic] was enum. 1900 with six surviving children (Rufus, Patsy, John, Mary, Penny, Etta).
John R. DAUGHTRY b. 1852-1855 was the son of John and Patsy (Stricland) DAUGHTRY of Boon Hill. John Sr. was the son of Richard and Elizabeth "Betsy" (Creech) DAUGHTRY of Johnston. Richard was the son of Benjamin DAUGHTRY (c.1740-bef.1810), who first led the family to NC from Isle of Wight Co. VA, where their roots go back to 1696 or earlier.
