I am looking for information about ancestors of Sarah Daugherty (my greatgrandmother) and where she came from in Ireland. She was born about 1831 in Ireland, but came to the US during the potato famine. She married my greatgrandfather Bernard Gartland, also born in Ireland about 1815. They lived originally in the Philadelphia area where their first 2 children were born, but then moved to the Maysville, Ky area where they lived until Sarah's death in 1920. Her death certificate indicated that her father was a Patrick Daugherty, born in Ireland, but I think her father could have been named Peter also.
