Who are William J. "Bill" DAUBs parents? and did he have any brothers and sisters?
Came across an obituary in the Fremont Daily News, Fremont, Ohio; 25 Feb 1936.
Funeral services for William J. "Bill" Daub, 43, of Fostoria, said to be the greatest athlete ever produced at Fostoria high school, were held Tuesday at the Mann funeral home. Daub died after a heart attack and was ill only one day.
He belonged to the football team which won the national high school championship in 1912, and was assistant cashier at the First National Bank. In 1934 when the bank was robbed, he was forced by the bandits, believed to be John Dillinger and Homer Van Meter, to ride with them for some distance before he was released.
