Transferring 9,400 entry Tree

I have very close to 9,400 persons in my Version 6 Family Tree Maker. The old Computer was a Packard Bell I bought new in 1997 and it is so full I bought a new Gateway with Window's Vista on 10/13/2008. I do not want to upgrade to the newer versions I really like the way my Version 6 works for me. I just turned 77 so I cannot afford to lose even one name in this Tree. What do I do? I tried to just transfer it myself but a notice came up that my email program rejected the transfer. I feel like Tree Maker is preventing my transfer of this information. I have never turned this into Family Treemaker but I feel they help themselves by going through my tree without my real knowledge. What version of Windows is my Tree Maker compatible with without upgrading my Tree.
