Hi Lauren ,my ancestors also came from Portugal to Quebec , Canada in about 1690. My earliest ancestor was Joseph DaSilva, his son Pedro came to Quebec and became the first letter carrier in the Province.I am related to the son of Pedro,Jean-Marie who had a daughter Genevieve and she had a son named Jean-Baptiste who is my great,great,great grandfather.I live in Bathurst,New Brunswick,Canada.Hope to hear from you to see if you have any more info on this.......Alvin
