Greetings, I am a descendant of the above couple on my maternal/maternal side. I am trying to establish the connection between Clement Desilva and the Quebec/Portuguese line of Desilvas (or disprove it). Here is what I have:

Clement Desilva born Quebec 25 Aug 1848
Marie Blais born New Brunswick 28 Dec 1853
Children: Clementine, M. Georgina,Adam, Francois, Jean, Marie, Thomas, Joseph, Clement, Marcelline
Sources: Census 1881/1901/Provincial Archives New Brunswick

1881 Census Quebec/Gaspe/La-Grande-Riviere/39Q/pg.15
Clement and Marie Desilva - French Catholics - Children: Francois, Jean, Marie, Thomas, Clementine, Joseph. Also Anestesie Soven a 74 year old widow (perhaps Clement's mother-in-law ?)

1901 Census Gloucester/Shippegan/i-2/pg.15
Cleans and Mary Silvan - Children:Clarah, Polian, Marcelean, Clemond, Georgena.

I would like the parents of Clement DeSilva and/or Marie Blais if anyone know them.

Evelyn, Montreal, Canada

P.S. Clementine DeSilva, born 15 Sep 1878 is my great-grandmother. She was married to George Luce.
