Myu great-grandfather was Joseph E. DaSilva/DaSanto a/k/a Silva, Santo. He was born 5/29/1870 possibly in Pico, Portugal and died 1/30/19444 in Ocala, Florida. He arrived in the US around 1889 and married Maria Concicao/Conceicao Soarez (b. 1/30/1875) (parents: Joseph and Maria Jesus a/k/a Sears of Portugal). The couple lived in Barnstable and N. Easton, MA having 8 children. Then moving to Eustis, FL around 1910 and had one more child. Maria died 9/14/1915. Joseph remarried around 1929. Their children are Mary, Joseph, Johmn, Frank, Anthony, Alphonso, Mabel, Carihim, and Genevive. The parents of Joseph E. DaSilva/DaSantoa a/k/a Silva/Santo were Ildefonse Santo and Rita amaral, both of Portugal. I assume they all came from the Azores Islands, though I am not sure about Maria and the grandparents.
