My family previously lived in Fannin County, and we caught up with the Mary Darst who has the reunion every year, in Honey Grove or Wolfe City if I remember correctly. Anyhow, we had my aunt, who keeps up with lineage, and a lady from this string of darsts get together and they were able to find a connection, tracing a ways past the Jacob Darst of the Alamo. I'm not sure where my great-grandfather is from, but my father, Thomas Darst, and I were both born in Dallas, and my grandfather, John Elijah Darst was born near Dallas or Terrel, I can't remember witch.
