Barbara,
My grandfather, Franklin C. Darst, was born in Delaware County, INDIANA. His brothers and sisters were Charles, Mary, Lydia, Ley Roy, Lenna, Claura, and Hattie. Charles was born in Henry County, but the rest were born in Delaware County, Indiana. Needless to say, there are a number of Darsts/Dursts in these two counties, and you may consider looking there.
