Thank you Barbara for the post about your Darst line. Henry Derst the 3rd son of Johann Paul Derst and Sarah. I believe in my 4th great grandfather. If this proves to be right, then you helped me learn who my 5th, 6th & 7th great grandparents were. From what I see, it certainly looks like we have a match.
I have learned through another cousin Deborah Hart Stock who has extensive Darst family info too. She told me that Paul Darst (Derst) emgrated to the United States with the father of my 3rd great grandfather Jacob Schleich. So far I haven't been able to find out what his name was, but I've learned so much about my 3rd great grandmother's line. Henry Darst was her father from his first marriage.
