Seth Darsey was my gggggrandfather and was the son of James Darsey who was born in 1752 in Burke County, Ga. and died in February, 1832. James had 4 brothers, Joseph, William, Benjamin, and Joel. The 5 brothers and their father, Joseph, all fought in the Revolutionary War. They received land grands from the king before the war. I have a copy of James and Josephs from the Georgia Archives.

Seth founded the Buckhorn Methodist Church in Laurens County, Ga. in 1824 and was the first person buried there in 1847.JOel settled in Decatur County, Ga. and Joseph in Columbia county, Ga. the other three all ended up in Laurens County, Georgia
