Hey James!... I don't know if I can help you, but I'm descended from Joseph Darsey, or "Old Joe"... I have no documentation on his death, but I'm sure it occured...
My branch of the Darseys ended up in Burke county, Georgia...
The Darseys are an old Irish family... they used to spell it "O'Darcy"... they immigrated to Maryland some time during the colonial period, later moving to North Carolina... "Old Joe" fought in the War along with his four sons, Joel, James, William, and Benjamin... I am descended from Old Joe's grandson James, the son of William... which one are you from?
Let me know if I can help you, because I have more information... and if you have anything, I'd love to hear it...
By the way, are we cousins?

-Jason
