I am descended from Joseph Darsey who died on the prison ship in Charleston during the Rev.
war. He had 5 sons who also served in the war: James, Benjamin, William, Joseph Jr, and Joel. Joseph married Catherine Elizabeth Ann Corbert. The sons lived in the triangle fromed by Augusta, Dublin and Savannah, Ga. Much of the descendents lived north of Dexter Georgia in the area of Buckhorn United Methodist Church (originally called the Darsey meeting house). The Darsey's have a family reunion there on the first Sunday in August (tomorrow) each year. I plan to go for the first time tomorrow.
