Histories of these two counties published circa 1881 are now available on-line. Includes biographies of Alandras Darrow, Sylvanus Darrow, and Alandras' brother-in-law Thomas Herd, one of whose sons, John Q. Herd, is said to have graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University.
