Abi/Nabby (Darrow) Rogers

Hello all. I am descendent from Abi, daughter of Zadock Darrow b. 1728 and Hester Lee, b.1735. Abi married Peter Rogers, not Peter Roberts as is shown on Mark Wooton's website. Peter descended from James Rogers of New London. Peter is a Rev War soldier. My question is in regards to Abi/Nabby. Anyone know where the name "Nabby" came from. Also, one of her grandchildren stated in a letter to the National Archives that Abi was a heroine in her own right during the Rev. War. Would anyone know about this??
