There are 3 differant parts to the Darrow family tree, 2 parts are searching for each other, while 1 wants nothing to do with the others. The Darrow line was torn apart along time ago, unfortunately, it has taken this long to start mending the broken lines. Good luck in your search, it does take quite along time and alot of effort to find the missing links. My mom spent alot of years on her efforts, in between being sick, and she lost the fight in April of 2000. I have been trying to continue for her, though I have gotten frustrated many times. I have a great aunt that is probably the only living relative that knows the exact lineage to Clarence, I will try to contact her to ask her about your mom, if she knows her or not.
Till then, keep up the research, also, there is a lady named Linda Reuter that can possibly help you find your connections. Try talking to her, she is a Darrow researcher, and has quite a bit of info on the family.
