Dear Robin,

The researcher I was working with in McLean County, Illinois, was helping me look for possible relationships. There weren't many people living there at the time and the Darrows were neighbors of my Frisby ancestors. The researcher thought that perhaps my ancestor had married a neighbor girl. She had given me a couple of other families to pursue as well. I wasn't sure that Darrow was the correct last name, but thought it might not hurt to look into it. I did learn from another family member that a different ancestor's first husband WAS a Darrow. He died and his widow married another of my Frisby ancestors! Brother, it gets complex sometimes!!!

The way I found the correct maiden name was by writing to the State of Iowa Dept. of Vital Statistics. I knew that my great great grandmother, Emily Frisby Nelson (Matilda's daughter) had died in Iowa. They sent a copy of her death certificate to me and Matilda's maiden name was there.

Thank you again Robin for all of your help. I appreciate you're checking into this with your family.

Sincerely,
Ted Yungclas
