James M. is eldest son of Jesse Born 13-8-1833 Ill. Died 24-8 1887 in Bowie, Texas, He married Mary Jane Scott on Nov. 6, 1836 in Jasper County , Missouri. Moved to Fannin Co., Texas for a short time and on to Montague Co., Texas where they both lived until death. They are both buried in Brushy Cemetery, Bowie, Texas. They were parents of 9 children. He Served in the Confederate military during civil War. Taken prisoner at Helena, Ark. released at New Orleans, La. at close of war. He is My Greatgrandfather. My Grandfather is James W. there youngest Son.
