Hi, Amy! I am decended from William John Darragh, who immigrated to the US in 1891 and settled in Laurel Run, Pennsylvania (Luzerne County). William was born 8/4/1862 and, according the the 1900 US Census, he was born in Ireland. But, according to naturalization papers, he was a citizen of Scotland.

He married Anna Kennedy Howe in Alexandria, Bonhill, Dumbarton, Scotland 3/26/1885. They had 2, possibly 3, children in Scotland before immigrating to the U.S.

There is a gentleman from Australia that contacted me a couple years ago saying he was from this family. He had Christening records for William and other family members from a church in Ireland. There is a Robert listed as William's brother, and Robert is listed as William's father in this person's files. I'm not completely convinced that this is the same family, though.

Could this possibly be the same family that you are researching?
