That is a great question. The research I've done shows the Darragh's started in Scotland, but moved to Ireland at some point. My father/uncles told me the Darragh's left Ireland in the mid 1800's because one of the men killed a Catholic priest. It seems the priest was going to take the family land for the church. So after the murder some moved to America and others to Australia.

BTW - This tickles me pink knowing I have family interested in our history.
