A mystery has been solved!! The LDS posting of David Darrah's birth to Robert Darrah and "Miss" Blood is shown as 1765, indicating that he was born while he (Robert) was still married to Jean McKeen Darrah. Indeed Robert and Jean had another child, Nahomi, (sic)born in April 17, 1766. This was their last child before the death of Jean McKeen Darrah. She ws buried in the cemetary that was washed away during a river course change, but recovered and reburied in Pinecrest Cemetary (South Cemetary) in the upper left hand section. I have seen and taken a picture of her gravestone. On page 532 of Volume 2 of the town history of Litchfield (viewable in the town clerk's office) handwritten by the town clerk of that time, John Parker cites the birth of Nahomi and Samuel Darrah, June 13, 1769 and David, born Nov 27, 1772, the latter two born to Robert and Eunice, his wife. Eunice and Robert are buried together in the upper left hand section of Pinecrest Cemetary. Eunices epitph is similar to that of Jean, reported elsewhere. I have pictures of these gravestones. I have pages of notes taken when I spent about 5 hours reading the Litchfield histories which indicated that Charles' wife (Robert's mother) outlived Charles and was shown on the tax roles as "Widow" Darrah.
Let me know if I can be of further help.
