I found the information you asked about some time ago and I have it in stacks and stacks of papers. I'll try to find it, but I seem to remember finding it through heavy research. Charles is brother to Thomas, Charles is my ancestor, and his son Robert. It gets confusing because both brothers had sons they named Robert. Also, Charles and Thomas father is Thomas, from Londonderry Ireland. What it seems to have happened, in the time frame that the first thomas lived in Ireland, there was war between the North and South Ireland. Many thousands of people died in the North, being scoth presbyterian and the south being catholic, all of it being over religion. They were lucky to live through it. Check your history books about that time era. Which would be about 1660. Your Thomas, was born in 1690, I cannot find a date for Charles, but they both had families in Ireland, wife and children, when they came here. Most of the families that came here in the early 1700's came because of desperation, not because they wanted to. They were fleeing persecution. If you also look at the history of Scotland, the Darrah's belonged to the Donald Clan, who owned Antrim Ireland. I believe this is how they came to live in Ireland. Very interesting stuff. I'll let you know if I can find your information. I have family history complete all the way to the first Thomas, it is difficult to go further because most of the church archives were burned to the ground in Ireland. I've been told by people from Scotland though that the name Darrah comes from the Kings of Scotland and in Scotland there are several hundred ancestors living there now who go by the name Darroch.
