My 2nd gr grandfather, Charles (or Carl) W. Schumacher, was in business with a John Darrah, Washington, and W. Hazelwood in Pittsburgh furnighing cattle to the government during the Civil War. Got this info from a bio sketch in "History of the Ohio Valley, 1890". It saws Schumacher operated out of Chicago. The family lived in St. Clairsville, Belmont Co., Ohio at the time. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
