Her name was Anna. I tried finding her before & came up with nothing under maiden name Moore or married name Darrah.Her middle initial was B. My fathers birth certificate may be incorrect. He told me that she was born on a reservation. I found a forum on Native Americans and inquired about Cherokee reservations, who would have her birth records, etc..
There has never been a reservation in WV. Either she was born in another state on a reservation or she wasn't born on a reservation at all (very frustrating). lol
Anyway, i've tried looking through the Cherokee rolls and have had no luck. I don't know if she was given an Indian name & English name or not.
I hope that by finding out more about my grandfather I will be able to find out more on my grandmother. I also hope to locate my dads siblings, if they are still alive. My father passed away a month ago so I can't go to him for anymore info.
