Thank you for the information about the DARRAHs in Canada. The history of your family is what I imagine could have happened to mine.
I found the Canadian webbpages extremely interesting. Unfortunately "my" DANIEL DARRAH arrived in Massachusetts sometime before 1863 - before many of the Canadian records begin. I also have no name of a migrant ship or date or port of arrival. Nothing on his application for naturalization in 1868 mentioned time or method of immigration.
However, the information is worth checking again and keeping in case I find any more detailed information about DANIEL's arrival in the USA
