Sandra, You may have seen my latest posting concerning Darrahs in NH, but just in case you missed that it showed a listing on page 501 in the historical records of Litchfield, NH of:
David Darrah, son of Samuel and Sarah
b. Oct 21, 1797
It is not likely that your Sophia is their daughter unless the birthdates are not accurate. There is listed in the 1820 census in Merrimack, NH, a single mother, Sarah Darrah who had two daughters in her household, one older than 16 and one younger. I think there is some more info on the internet concerning her, but my notes end there. It is possible that she is the widow of Samuel, but maybe not.
