Hi!! My husband's family is from the same island, migrated to Bay Area California and changed named from Da Rosa to Rosa!! If connected to you, would be from your grandfather, before leaving Portugal. My FIL, Edwin Rosa, came to the USA sometime in the 1950's, I think. He moved to Hayward, CA, where lots of his family already was. Some of the names you listed are familiar. DH, Edwin Jr. (Ed), is asleep now, so I can't ask for more info. I'll ask him tomorrow and one of us will post it.
